My Experience with My Cat, “Hurhura“
My cat Hurhura’s fur quality is better than any other cat I’ve seen. She had very thick hair.
When I was new to adopting a cat, I didn’t know much about cat care. One day, I noticed a hard hairball on her belly, chest, and near her back legs. I was really confused—what is this, and how did it grow here?
Then I became very tense, but soon I realized it was fur tangles caused by shedding, dirt, or excessive oils . It’s not something very harmful for a cat (there are no internal injuries), but there are some things you should know.
What You Should Know About Fur Tangles
- If fur tangles appear on your cat, they can grow larger and may spread to other parts of the body.
- If your cat has fleas, these tangled areas can become a haven for them.
- Fleas can suck blood and lay eggs inside the tangles as much as they want.
- This can put your pet in real danger, even lead to death if you don’t notice it in time.

My Attempt to Remove the Tangles:
At first, I tried to remove the tangles by combing her, but it didn’t work at all. Then I tried trimming her fur with a trimmer, but she panicked because of the sound. Finally, I tried using small scissors and carefully cut them off her body. After that, I started combing her every day.
Please make sure to bathe your cat once a week if you don’t live in a winter country.
If you do live in a cold climate, try to bathe your cat once a month.
Always bathe your cat carefully. I will write a proper instruction guide on how to bathe a cat.
Always use slightly warm water for bathing.
If you notice that your cat’s nose is wet, it may have a cold. In that case, do not bathe your cat.
